DESCRIPTION:European Maritime Day 2026 will take place in Limassol, Cyprus on the 21-22 May 2026 as an in-person event with plenary sessions live streamed.\nThe EMD is an opportunity to pay tribute to “maritime Europe” and highlight all maritime sectors and activities to help European citizens understand the true scope and diversity of sea-related activities taking place in Europe, as well as to prompt reflection on the critical role the seas play in our daily lives.\nIt is an annual event where Europe’s maritime community gathers to network, talk, and plan collective action on maritime matters and the sustainable blue economy.\nThe EMD targets professionals from businesses, governments, public institutions, NGOs, academia, and EU citizens interested in the sea. Featuring inspirational speakers, thematic sessions, stakeholder workshops, an exhibition and networking opportunities.
