DESCRIPTION:The seventh edition of the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB 2026) will be held in Bruges,  Belgium, hosted by the Flanders Marine Institute ( https://marineboard.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2869e6448eb2a60f72bf9154c&id=b1fcdd9203&e=6744bb7207 ) (VLIZ). The conference has been endorsed as a UN Ocean Decade Event. Taking place midway through the Decade, it will provide a valuable opportunity to take stock of ongoing actions and initiatives, but also evaluate what still needs to be tackled by the end of the Decade.\nThis event will provide the opportunity to share research outcomes, management and policy topics, offer a platform to discuss current as well as emerging marine biodiversity issues, and identify ways to protect and sustainably manage marine ecosystems and their resources.
