Brainstorming and Mentoring Sessions Held in the University of Zadar, on February 18th, 2025

On February 18th, 2025, we hosted two incredible sessions aimed at driving innovation and collaboration in the blue economy sector. These events were a platform for industry leaders, young researchers, and academic professionals to come together and explore cutting-edge solutions for sustainable growth.

Brainstorming Session: Exploring New Technologies in Nautical Tourism

The brainstorming session, hosted by our project partner, the University of Zadar, brought together stakeholders from across the nautical tourism sector. Attendees included representatives from charters, marinas, skippers, and other industry players, all with the common goal of exploring the latest technologies transforming the sector.

The session was expertly led by Dr. Marko Valčić, Dr. Mate Barić, Dr. Ivan Toman, and Dr. Ana Gundić, all from the Maritime Department at the University of Zadar. Their expertise guided the group through several key topics, sparking engaging discussions and innovative ideas. Some of the key areas covered during the session included:

  • Green Energies in Nautical Tourism: Discussing the integration of renewable energy solutions in the sector to reduce the carbon footprint and promote sustainability.
  • Simulation-Based Learning: Exploring the use of simulations in training and development for nautical professionals to enhance skills and safety.

Following the brainstorming session, the mentoring session at the University of Zadar provided a unique platform for industry leaders and young researchers to collaborate.
